Description

The CRL High-Speed Sliding Vane Pumps, part of Blackmer's Cavitation Line, are designed to deliver efficient and durable fluid transfer solutions. These positive displacement pumps are suitable for low-volume transfer applications, offering capacities ranging from 5 to 22 U.S. gallons per minute (19 to 83 liters per minute). They are equipped with foot-mounting capability on a common baseplate, facilitating straightforward installation in system setups.

Constructed with ductile-iron and featuring internal relief valves, the CRL High-Speed Sliding Vane Pumps include 1.25- or 1.5-inch NPT tapped ports for easy connection. They incorporate a replaceable casing liner, end discs, and a unique cavitation suppression liner for the CRLR 1.25-inch model, which handles lower flow rates. These components enable straightforward maintenance and rebuilds, maintaining pump performance over time.

Material features include silicon carbide mechanical seals, laminate vanes, and external ball bearings that are isolated by mechanical seals to extend bearing life and minimize contamination risks. The pumps can sustain maximum differential pressures of 70 psi (4.83 bar) for the CRLR 1.25-inch model and 100 psi (6.89 bar) for the CRL 1.25- and 1.5-inch models. Symmetrical bearing support ensures even load distribution, reducing wear and prolonging unit lifespan.

Key features include cavitation suppression liner design to reduce noise, vibration, and wear caused by entrained vapors, and a slide vane technology that self-adjusts for wear, maintaining consistent flow rates. These pumps exhibit excellent self-priming and dry-run capabilities, making them suitable for applications requiring reliable performance without extensive operator intervention. The sliding vane design also supports high suction lift and line-stripping functions.

Ease of maintenance is emphasized by the ability to replace vanes, casings, liners, and end discs without removing the pump from piping. They are ideal for use in low-volume transfer, circulating fluids, and loop systems. The rugged materials and design features make the CRL High-Speed Sliding Vane Pumps suitable for demanding industrial environments where durability and low lifecycle costs are essential.

The pumps are available as part of Blackmer's Fully Integrated Unit Assemblies, which include a motor, gearbox, baseplate, coupling safety covers, and the pump itself, ready to install without alignment adjustments. These assemblies are supplied through KI Pumps of Waukesha, WI, a global supplier recognized for high-quality positive displacement pumps and components.
