Description

The LGLF LP Gas Sliding Vane Pumps are a series of rotary vane pumps designed specifically for liquid propane, LPG, and similar gases. Manufactured by Blackmer, these pumps are part of the Cavitation Line and are engineered for dependable performance in a variety of applications including motor fueling, cylinder filling, and small transfer tasks. Constructed with ductile-iron, the pumps provide enhanced resistance to thermal and mechanical shocks, ensuring durability across demanding environments. They are equipped with 1.25- or 1.5-inch NPT tapped ports and can be mounted with standard flanged connections, with models such as LGRLF1.25, LGLF1.25, and LGLF1.5 coming with integral brackets and flexible shaft couplings suitable for NEMA C-face or IEC flanged-face motors. Some models are available with or without electric motors for flexibility in installation.

The pumps feature internal relief valves to prevent excessive pressure buildup and include a cavitation suppression liner to minimize noise, vibration, and wear caused by vapor entrainment. The latest 6-vane design reduces operational noise levels, enabling quiet and fast operation. Their replaceable end discs, vanes, and liners facilitate straightforward rebuilding to like-new condition, supporting cost-effective maintenance. The pumps are UL-listed for both LPG and anhydrous ammonia service, confirming compliance with safety standards.

Additional features include the acceptance of standard C-face mounted motors, easy installation of fully integrated unit assemblies that include motor, gearbox, baseplate, and safety covers, and the use of Blackmer-specific mechanical seals developed for non-lubricating liquids. The pumps' robust design ensures trouble-free operation with sustained performance over time. These pumps are ideal for budget-conscious operations seeking reliable, quiet, and easy-to-maintain propane or LPG pumping solutions, especially suitable for applications requiring high durability and minimal noise.

Each pump ships with essential components for immediate use, with options for models excluding motors. Maintenance involves periodic inspection and cleaning, with rebuild kits available for end discs, vanes, and liners, supporting long service life. The pumps are specified for professional handling and should be operated according to safety standards and manufacturer guidance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
