Description

The Blackmer XL High-Speed Sliding Vane Pumps are ductile iron, motor-speed pumps built for processing, filling, and transfer applications in refineries, lube oil plants, and general industry. Replaceable vanes, liners, and end discs allow the pumping chamber to be rebuilt to like-new condition without removing the pump from the piping. The self-adjusting sliding-vane design maintains flow rates as the vanes wear, and the pumps offer excellent self-priming and dry-run capability with low maintenance and low life-cycle costs.

This series covers the 1.25" and 1.5" motor-speed models: XRL1.25A, XL1.25A, XL1.5A (foot-mounted) and XRLF1.25B, XLF1.25B, XLF1.5B (C-face motor mount).

Key Features

  • Ductile iron construction with internal relief valve
  • Blackmer mechanical seal and ball bearing construction for maximum reliability
  • Symmetrical bearing support for even loading and long service life
  • Adjustable relief valve protects the pump against excessive pressure
  • External ball bearings isolated from pumpage by the mechanical seal, maximizing bearing life
  • Easy maintenance: vanes can be replaced without removing the pump from the piping
  • High suction lift and line-stripping capability

Applications

  • Refinery applications
  • Lube oil plants
  • General industry processing
  • Filling and transfer applications

Q0 Steel / Buna-N / Carbon / Buna-N (SNCN) No charge

Motor Adaptor Options

XRL1.25A, XL1.25A, and XL1.5A ship foot-mounted (less coupling). XRLF1.25B, XLF1.25B, and XLF1.5B are C-face models and require one of the footless or footed adaptor and coupling combinations below.

Code Description Applicable Models
0 Foot mounted, less coupling XRL1.25A, XL1.25A, XL1.5A
E Footless adaptor & coupling, 143-145TC / 182-184C motors XRLF1.25B, XLF1.25B, XLF1.5B
F Footless adaptor & coupling, 182-184TC / 213-215C motors XRLF1.25B, XLF1.25B, XLF1.5B
N Footed adaptor & coupling, 56C motors XRLF1.25B, XLF1.25B, XLF1.5B
