Description
Blackmer STX-DEF Series pumps are 316 stainless steel sliding vane pumps built and certified for Diesel Exhaust Fluid service. Every pump is tested with de-ionized water and meets or exceeds the industry specifications for DEF aqueous urea solutions (AUS32), also known as AdBlue. Construction includes external ball bearings, non-metallic Duravanes, PTFE elastomers, Blackmer chemical mechanical seals, an integral adjustable relief valve and a double-ended keyed shaft.
Sliding vane technology is what makes these pumps well suited to fast off-loading. The vanes self-compensate as they wear, so flow rates hold up over the life of the pump, and the design self-primes and will run dry for short periods to strip suction lines clean without damage. A 6,000 gallon (22,700 liter) tanker can be off-loaded in as little as 24 minutes with an STX3-DEF. Internal wear is limited almost entirely to the vanes themselves, which can be replaced with ordinary hand tools without pulling the pump out of the piping.

All three models share the same pressure and temperature limits: 125 psi (8.6 bar) maximum differential pressure, 175 psi (12.1 bar) maximum working pressure, and a temperature range of -25°F to 240°F (-32°C to 115°C).

Ordering Options
Three choices are made on this page. Model sets the pump size and capacity. Relief valve spring sets the pressure range the integral relief valve is set to protect against, and all three ranges are offered at no additional cost. Flange selection determines whether the pump ships with its butt weld flange set or without flanges, for customers welding to existing hardware.
