Description

Blackmer TXD Series sliding vane pumps are the industry standard for fuel truck and transport applications. Built from cast iron with external ball bearings and Blackmer mechanical seals, these pumps deliver fast, quiet operation and are compatible with all biodiesel and ethanol blends. The double-ended drive shaft on 2", 2.5", and 3" models allows clockwise or counterclockwise installation without modification.

The TX1.5 model uses a single-ended shaft with NPT tapped connections. The TXD2A, TXD2.5A, and TXD3E models feature a double-ended drive shaft and accept NPT flanges, weld flanges, gasket-only configurations, or no flanges. The TX4A is a larger-displacement model with single-ended shaft and a full range of flange options. When a single-ended shaft is selected on the 2", 2.5", or 3" models, the model designation changes from TXD to TX (e.g., TXD2A becomes TX2A).

Air-Operated Relief Valve Models (AVA and AVC)

The TXD2A-AVA, TXD2.5A-AVA, TXD2.5A-AVC, and TXD3E-AVA models are TXD pumps factory-equipped with an air-operated relief valve, for tanker truck applications where bypass pressure control during hose handling and nozzle operation is critical. The air-operated relief valve works in conjunction with commercially available flow detectors or flow-sensing valves to reduce discharge line pressure under bypass conditions, making one-person unloading operations safer and easier. Select these models from the Size or Model menu above.

Two valve configurations are available. The AVA (Air-Operated Diaphragm Relief Valve) uses a diaphragm-style valve with Buna-N seals and an iron valve body. The AVC (Air-Operated Piston Relief Valve) uses a piston-style valve with FKM seals and a nickel-plated valve body. Both operate on a 70–125 psi air signal spring range. All AV models use the standard double-ended drive shaft for clockwise or counterclockwise installation. Standard seal varies by model: the AVA models ship standard with the A0 Iron/Buna-N/Carbon/Buna-N seal, and the TXD2.5A-AVC ships standard with the C0 Iron/FKM/Carbon/FKM seal. Each AV model shares the flow rating, dimensions, and shipping weight of the corresponding base model.

Fuel oil, gasoline, jet fuel, ethanol and alcohol blends, lube oil, solvents, esters, ketones, naphtha, aromatic and glycol compounds. Designed for tanker truck unloading, transport delivery, fleet refueling, and bulk transfer. The AVA and AVC models add pressure-reducing bypass control for single-operator use.
