Description
021605 Cylinder Housing 2.5" is a genuine Blackmer replacement housing for 2.5 inch sliding vane pumps.
The housing carries the bore that the rotor and vanes sweep. When that bore is true, the vanes stay in contact and the pump moves the volume it is rated for. When it is worn, product slips back past the rotor and the pump works harder for less output.
Plan on a housing change when you find scoring, an out of round bore, or damage from debris or a dry run. Fitting new vanes into a worn 021605 housing is a short term fix, because the damaged bore wears through the new vanes and the lost capacity comes right back.
Order by part number so the housing matches the pump. Check the nameplate if you are not sure which housing your unit takes, and ask about vanes, bearings, and seals at the same time so the pump goes back together in one pass.
